...its another day,not much changes,BUT its my BIRTHDAY and I'm going to enjoy my day off...from working at the store, from cleaning my house, from cooking meals,my work will be there tomorrow!

My sweet sis-in-law, Judy, planned a shopping day for Mom-in-law, Shilah and April
And I,so we hit Goodwill and about 3 other thrift stores and of course STARBUCKS on the way home!

..And to top it off ,Norv brought a Cheesecake home from our NEW Safeway, absolutely delicious! So now I am loaded with sugar from all that chocolate and I am wide awake! I should go do laundry...

We hauled home our neighbors fallen-over- in -the -wind greenhouse,( its HUGE!) And hopefully with a torch and some man power we can straighten out the bent metal poles and get it set up soon! Never in all my born days did I think I'd get a greenhouse!

I was reminded today AGAIN of what a blessing it is to have family and friends,so many wished me a good B-day on FB,it was fun ! I get my messages on my phone and it beeped at me all day long...thank God for u all!

Blessings to ya,Sharon

I’m Back!

I’ve been thinking the last few weeks of this poor forsaken blog, so I looked up the other day and it was actually 2012 that I quit. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and our family has grown and there’s been lots of changes and a wedding and a daughter-in-law and grandbaby coming and now we’re having another wedding In a few weeks! Wow , you never know what will happen in six more years! I thought about trying to catch up over our lives the last few years, but most of you already know What all we’ve been up to so I’m not gonna try! I’m just going to start where we are now! This is going to be a year to remember for sure! 2018, Who would’ve thought, that we would be facing cancer, looking forward to being grandparents, having a 19-year-old daughter getting married, another daughter dating!  It’s almost mind-boggling, but I am reminded  that when I started this blog and I was a busy younger mother with six little kids, that I literally took one day...

The pros of owning a bulk food store!

...trying out a Himalayan Pink Salt block from a customer! "would I carry this, please"? (Do I crush it or just pass it around the table?) :) .....i take all the produce home that get bumped and briused. Onions get chopped and frozen, which I love having on hand ,just don't like too many at a time! ....grabbing baking stuff off the shelves, including many items I normally wouldn't get, like mini m&m bits! Funny tho', my spices containers are emptier than ever, I forget to pick them up 'cause I don't have a grocery list anymore! ....farm fresh eggs from local farmers! ....i get to test out the latest kitchen gadgets, including the broken stuff! ....meat and cheese ends from the deli, they make wonderful snacks when having  friends over!

Pictures Of Summer 2012, now That Its History. . .

I am so far behind, I'm not even gonna try to catch up on our summer! Did we even HAVE summer??? Me thinks the years are flying by too fast! We had a relaxing Sunday afternoon today, Norvs mom and dad came up for lunch and Jay and April and the girls. . . Its been almost six weeks since hip surgery for my MIL, she's about ready to get rid of her walker! That'll be a wonderful sight to see her walk without it. Its been getting colder every night and raining for the past few days, knocking all those beautiful yellow leaves of of my maples in the front yard!  We've started raking them into huge piles. But its wasted effort till they are all off. The snow is covering the mountain tops now so one of these days its gonna get us! :) We celebrated our 18 th anniversary the 8th of October! Norv had to fly to Seattle that weekend and Julianna had her 8th birthday, so we are gonna do a gateway later. This time of the year is always a little hard to get nice wea...
