Goodness. . .

I teach the Junior SS class at church and today the lesson was about doing good, (Jesus healing) and the Pharisees who chose to overlook the good he was doing and decided to pick him to bits and plot to kill.  This little poem was in the teacher helps and i thot it really good! "Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can"  -John Wesley   Doing good. . . . Something so simple that a child can do and it can speak to the hardest heart and change a life! Jesus was such a good example of unselfish "do-gooder". This is what my week looks like:     Norv left after church  to go to a log home show for Caribou till Wednesday when he flies in to Spokane. I may need to run and pick him up unless a vehicle is over there  at the airport to bring back for somebody. He is driving straight thru to Nevada with David, should be there by noon monday i ...

Plans change!

This has been a looong week! I definately am ready for a new one to start, whatever it may bring.( I almost am afraid to write that, what if. . . ) We've had fevers, coughs, puking, headaches, grouchy people, people spread all over the house for bedtime trying to avoid the cough-ers. . I'm tired of crumbs on my new couches that now smell like? ?? . . And SOMEONE left a dying popsicle on the carpet! We've gone through all my stash of tylenol, cough meds ,we are using ROLLS of tp since i happened to run out of kleenex at this critical time and I'm slathering on Unkers salve on feet and chests. . . and who know if the raw honey/lemon juice/warm water actually does the trick, i choose to think so. It tastes better than the cough meds at least. Did you ever taste Buckleys Cough Mixture? Ohhh, that stuff is nasty. . . Its supposed to do the job if you can stomach it,i gag on it so i can't force my kids to take it. Needless to say that meant kids out of school for a few da...

A new year,a new start at the things i wanna do!

I always like when a new year comes around . I like to plan and dream of things we'll do as a family , or things i'd like to do differantly like going on a walk at least a few times a week, drinking lots of water and eating more nutritious food, or having a meaningful quiet time squeezed in sometime during the time i rush out the door in the morning, stop at the store and do my thing there then come home, get my Ellie off to bed for naptime ,rush around doing loads of laundry and rush back to school , pick up school kids and then home for more food to be prepared and devoured, clean up and then its bedtime! Long sentence, but that has been my life for the past 3 years and did i get my quiet time in there? NOOOOO So that is a huge need in my life right now. I have rooms I'd like to redo and sort out all the unused stuff and the outgrown clothes and ORGANIZE my life a little! I'd like to do some freezer meals so I'm not scrambling at suppertime to get something...

2012 Starting a brand New Year

It's 2012! Yeahhhhh. . . . . Happy New Year! We are traveling  home from our fast trip to the south for Christmas with my family. All my siblings were there and we got to see Ivans a few times too! My kids had a lot of fun getting re- aquainted with cousins and got to do some new adventures with them: Cody spent some time at Ivans and worked with the guys in the shop, went hunting with Gwyndon and shot a possum, Kaitlyn went milking with Andrea one evening and Samantha went riding horses at Aprils along with having lots of slumber -less parties! The rest of the kids made trails in dads woods down to the creek and hauled in scraps of boards and misc. to make houses and everybody who had a creekside villa had to have a dock too! Dad will really be impressed when it comes time to clean up.   We had our share of coughing and fevers while there! Emily was the worst and i suspect had a eardrum that burst too. I never find out if she has an infection cause she doesnt feel the pain ti...
