One sore mama...

Oh my bones...my arms...I am so out of shape ! We worked outside tonite,Norv had the skid steer here,so he leveled dirt in the yard where a huge tree got chopped off last fall when we logged the pasture. I had him dump some goodies from the horse pen there and started a new flower bed and transplanted plants to it.
We have had so very little really nice weather this year , and it was chilly out with the wind blowing, the sun was out and it was a beautiful evening ! We had a skiff of snow yesterday morning and the mountains got a fresh covering on em. I haven't even attempted to do anything in the garden,tho' I've been nagging at Norv to get the greenhouse up ! We started some plants inside and I've got some raspberry plants to get in the ground. My deer fence needs a lot of help, either the deer ripped it or the snow and wind did it, it needs fixing!

We are finally done with our kitchen project...I'm loving it ! Norv just got the lights hooked up last night so now I can see ! We need a microwave hood yet but that's gonna wait for now.
I'll post some pictures when I get my computer going ...

In other news, Emily has to get glasses, Cody is doing drivers training, Kaitlyn got bowled over by her teacher today in soccer,(he was goalie and was really getting into the game) Julianna is being herself by asking a thousand questions a day and has plans of being a bone Dr...... Ellie is very mischievous and loves going over to the bakery when we're @ the store ' cause she know they give cute little girls in piggy tails any donut they want and Samantha is having the 13 year old blues and highs and lows and all kinds of in-between,(oh dear) and Norv and I are doing our best raising these kids and loving every minute of it.....good nite for now!

    I commented on this post and alas it's not here! But I just wanted to say. CODY'S too young to get his drivers liscense! Notice I didn't say he was too little! :) You're probably getting quite in shape working outside like a maniac like that Sharon! :)

    I'd like to see your house, flower gardens, store, bakery, and Cody learning to drive. Most of all I would like to see you and Norv doing life with it all, and the girls growing up. I'd like to hug Ellie if she would let me. Hm.

I’m Back!

 I’ve been thinking the last few weeks of this poor forsaken blog, so I looked up the other day and it was actually 2012 that I quit. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and our family has grown and there’s been lots of changes and a wedding and a daughter-in-law and grandbaby coming and now we’re having another wedding In a few weeks! The pros of owning a bulk food store!

  ...trying out a Himalayan Pink Salt block from a customer! "would I carry this, please"? (Do I crush it or just pass it around the table?) :) .....i take all the produce home that get bumped and briused. Onions get chopped and frozen, which I love having on hand ,just don't like too many at a time! ....grabbing baking stuff off the shelves,including many items I normally wouldn't get, like mini m&m bits! Funny tho', my spices containers are emptier than ever, I forget to pick them up 'cause I don't have a grocery list anymore! ....farm fresh eggs from local farmers! ....i get to test out the latest kitchen gadgets,including the broken stuff! ....meat and cheese ends from the deli, they make wonderful snacks when having  friends over!

Kitchen Remodel...

This was the beginning of a terrible messy job of remodeling our kitchen. Norv and John Schlabach did the work of ripping off the ceiling and putting a new one on, insulating the new part (Samantha did that, crawling around up there) and then installing new cabinets. But before that could be done , they had to move the window, put drywall mud on the walls to cover up and blend together all the different wall coverings, rip out old cupboards, move the water lines for the dishwasher and new sink.... and this was all done in 5 days! This was open to the outside for a few days, so we stayed at Norv's folks while this was being done... see the original trailer roof shape? Here is the finished product! I got my curtains hung and the only thing missing is the microwave hood that may never be! I'd like to actually put a shelf in it's place. Looking toward the living room from the island...I love my shelf that just happened to appear after the ceiling got ripped off, the end
