Winter Wonderland

Wow, winter has hit us full force! We are having lots of snow this week and the kids are loving a short week from school! It finally warmed up from a FRIGID single digits (and below zero) to almost 30 degrees today! My windows get all frosty in my unheated sewing room that was supposed to be my hideout! But it actually helps us out by helping us heat the rest of the house, my room takes up the front half of the trailer. Those windows are single pane and absolutely worthless!! That's our next to - do project! I think I'm gonna get some styrofoam insulation and covers them up for the winter! They'll look mighty ugly on the outside...what could I do to dress em up???

We had a fun thanksgiving at Bruce and Shilah's and had way to much food to eat, the kids went sledding, the big boys went hunting and Alex was rewarded with a nice buck.
Cody has been eagerly awaiting elk season coming up..if he gets one we'll need a freezer,I need the meat and a freezer but I was hoping for a sale! Guess I'll have to go shopping, bummer!

    I've got freezer space. Wish I could share with you....the freezer space I mean. I don't need the meat though! Post again soon...it's been way too long.

Kitchen Remodel...

This was the beginning of a terrible messy job of remodeling our kitchen. Norv and John Schlabach did the work of ripping off the ceiling and putting a new one on, insulating the new part (Samantha did that, crawling around up there) and then installing new cabinets. But before that could be done , they had to move the window, put drywall mud on the walls to cover up and blend together all the different wall coverings, rip out old cupboards, move the water lines for the dishwasher and new sink.... and this was all done in 5 days! This was open to the outside for a few days, so we stayed at Norv's folks while this was being done... see the original trailer roof shape? Here is the finished product! I got my curtains hung and the only thing missing is the microwave hood that may never be! I'd like to actually put a shelf in it's place. Fall and Winter 2010...playing catch-up

This post is a combination of fall and winter pictures that loaded backwards so bear with me... Best Friends... ..I love decorations... a sign that a vender had at the store this Christmas.... Christmas cookies anybody???? black n white beauty.... beautiful snowy morning.... a project the girls enjoyed.... Christmas at our house ,,lots of games... Lovin' that chubby baby boy... Serious conversation... Some hoodlum that showed up at our Women's evening dress-up at Truss Tek...lots of fun! We went to Castlegar on our anniversary and enjoyed a beautiful drive on the way...the mountains in BC are so pretty in the fall. 16 years and counting............................
