Its cold...It's rainy.....

Well May 1st came and went ...nothing to brag about. It was a cold , rainy ,sun-shone- a - little - bit kind of day...I went out this afternoon and actually got some work done on my flowerbeds... got Cody to haul some dirt around and fill some new beds.
Now that Cody got the four wheeler, jobs are fun again...of course everyone jumps at the sound of it starting up, Ellie is the worst! She thinks she owns it and everyone is to give her rides. She makes a beeline for it every time she's outside, climbs up as far as she can and yells...
She is starting to imitate everybody and of course she gets the laughs she wants...'fraid this one will turn into a B-R-A-T...

Norv went to an auction in St. Ignatius, MT. with Charles Schrock. An Amish guy was selling out his furniture business, so he got a few pieces he found for the store, hickory rockers, a hoosier cabinet, etc. They'll join the furniture corner that is Norv's baby, his touch in the store and they are actually selling good for him, along with his lawn furniture.

One great thing about spring are the garage sales that are starting up again... I'm a sucker for a bargain... i found an old oak dresser that needs new drawer bottoms..it's got the wavy old mirror that is attached in the back! ....another project for Norv!

Kitchen Remodel...

This was the beginning of a terrible messy job of remodeling our kitchen. Norv and John Schlabach did the work of ripping off the ceiling and putting a new one on, insulating the new part (Samantha did that, crawling around up there) and then installing new cabinets. But before that could be done , they had to move the window, put drywall mud on the walls to cover up and blend together all the different wall coverings, rip out old cupboards, move the water lines for the dishwasher and new sink.... and this was all done in 5 days! This was open to the outside for a few days, so we stayed at Norv's folks while this was being done... see the original trailer roof shape? Here is the finished product! I got my curtains hung and the only thing missing is the microwave hood that may never be! I'd like to actually put a shelf in it's place. Fall and Winter 2010...playing catch-up

This post is a combination of fall and winter pictures that loaded backwards so bear with me... Best Friends... ..I love decorations... a sign that a vender had at the store this Christmas.... Christmas cookies anybody???? black n white beauty.... beautiful snowy morning.... a project the girls enjoyed.... Christmas at our house ,,lots of games... Lovin' that chubby baby boy... We went to Castlegar on our anniversary and enjoyed a beautiful drive on the way...the mountains in BC are so pretty in the fall. 16 years and counting............................
